Yes, there is a movie with the same title and it is based on the book! My reason for reading the book was because I wanted to know more about the story. So I saw the movie before I read the book! It may be a hard movie to find. I got mine at my local Blockbusters Video. It comes on TV about once every few years but even then it comes on network TV and not cable. (I wonder why but that's another story for another time (-: I'm kind of partial to the movie because its got Jean LeClerc in it but in my honest opinion this movie doesn't stray too far from the book and I do have to tell you - its scary!! ~JLCfan
